The problem is that you are in a no win situation if you put an officer on the roundabout filming all traffic movement it would be a waste of resources if somebody got knocked over and died you should have been watching it.

No its about when actually going onto the roundabout from the adjoining road. Not the drive to the roundabout

Thats not the point as it is a very common occurence on most roundabouts I would think. Perhaps people would benefit by reading the Highway Code perhaps once a year to read of any changes.

I wouldnt signal left if I wasnt certain it was the turning I wanted. As it happens I now drive very little as I have driven my share of miles over the years and now leave it to my wife who is very aware of the Highway Code.

Yes I have and if I miss my turning I go all the way round the roundabout and then take the correct road.

You obviously dont know the roundabout it is a clear roundabout with 5 roads off of it and even with a sat nav it would have said 2nd exit.

That doesnt make any sense as a roundabout should be approached and the correct signals given irrespective of where it is or how familiar the driver is with the area. But then I should have anticpated you trying to find fault in the postings.

Signaled to go right and took the 2nd exit the right turn to Franklynn Rd is the 4th so he should not have signalled right at all but left after South Rd or as they are close when it was too late to turn into South Rd.

That is correct as per the highway code under the heading of intermediate exits. This driver, however, was indicating right as he pulled out of Sussex Rd
