Obviously a lot more involved than we think or know.

No we shouldnt just as bad which is seen by the fact that nobody wants him.

Correct I have never posted on that site.

I am not saying Stockdale is a poor keeper just prone to pushing the ball back into the 6 yd box rather than round the post, He is a good shot stopper but surely his wages will be nearly as high as TK plus £1m+ fee says that TK must have really fallen out with the club

Unless something happened that we are unaware of I do not see him as being £1m spendiing better than TK. Why spend £1m to finish up with something no better than you had already?

I think that is correct. when i was lad we was taught that punching was a last resort if you couldnt catch the ball.

Simply because Stockdales weakness is known to be he tends to push the ball out into the 6 yd box when making a good save a la Ankergren and Brezovan. That is not to say he is a poor keeper but that is a definite weakness he has.

On the Fulham equivalent of NSC they reckon both Stockdale and Stekelenberg are going. Slightly OT dont understand why Brezovan's agent hasnt pushed him for Blackpool who are desperate for players.including a keeper.

At last a truthful post of somebody with knowledge

Taking into account FFP how did Watford manage to sign Gomes from Spurs.

For a team with aspirations of promotion or at least play offs he isnt good and consistent enough to be No 1 for the year left on his contract. Walton although a good prospect is not ready yet so we need a No 1 keeper, quite simple really.

I was told that he was the highest earner at the club which is understandable that they let him go but cant understand why they didnt offer a new contract at reduced wages which he could have accepted or refused, obviously more to it. I would still have him back over what we have at the moment...

I dont think that there were many goals down to him, some he perhaps could have done better with but very few down to his mistakes, a couple I remember.

Could this have been down to the keeper coaches? Perhaps Niemi, who was good himself is a better coach, and get him back to what he was when we signed him who knows. Perhaps he has a problem as he was brilliant when Untied signed him but went down hill the same as for us.

Is he £1m + spending better than Kuszczak, I am not sure he is. TK was not happy with OG style of play perhaps if we resigned him with a new keeper coach Niemi he would improve his weak point of distribution unless there is of course other happenings that we are unaware of.

I think that we should have gone after Luke Steele when he activated his release clause from Barnsley but sadly he has gone to Panathaniakos in Greece.

That is obviously an opening bid which will probably rise to about 3m whether we are prepared to pay, that I doubt very much. This could alert the big spenders like Middlesbro.

true but keepers do not command big fees which i can never understand, as Brian Clough said a good keeper is worth 20+ points a season to a club.

If true he will have to decide who he sees as the most likely for promotion us or Fulham but a good keeper.
