I think he knows the roof would collapse. That was the point, to remove the North Stand roof without it effecting the other two stands.
As you've explained it probably wouldn't work, my idea was put the roof on top of the arches (rather than level, like they are now) thus adding more space at...
Yes thanks, I've got that now, that's what I was pretty much asking with my last question, I remember Martin Perry talking about it years ago.
I'm guessing this "steel ring" goes across the front of the North Stand roof.
Still, if they REALLY wanted to add more seats they could probably knock...
I can't see the picture for some reason. I have seen pictures where the arches hold up the West and East stands. Are you saying that the North Stand roof acts like a bridge to counter balance the other two stands?
I reckon we could add another thousand and it would be full for all games. Sure it wouldn't all be full if we came down, but it wouldn't be much different to what it's like now.
When most teams go up they get another 10,000 to their average gate. We can't fit another 10,000 in, and, if...
I don't see how removing the North Stand roof would effect the arches, as the arches wouldn't be moved, thus still holding up the West and East.
Another thing I noticed is that the North Stand (along with the rest) is quite far from the pitch. It's probably to do with new ground regulations...
Absolutely agree.
The only way I can think of adding to the capicity (apart from extra seats in the corners) is taking the roofs off the North and South stands, adding maybe another 15 rows and putting the roofs back on top of the arches. The concourses would probably have to be enlarged and...
Looks to me like we could get quite a few more seats in the East corners. Going by the season ticket waiting list, we could fill these. There is going to be a massive demand for tickets next season.
I'd say 32,000 is about right considering we get about 29,000 home fans at the moment and we...
