The last time we won by three or more at home was when Murray last scored at Withdean (before tonight) - 5-0 vs Yeovil (1 year and two days ago). Get him scoring at home again and we will be fine.
Whether or not he misses a punch or three, I do think it helps matters to have a goalkeeper that is not partial to staying on his line. He is not useless, from what I have seen and it is refreshing to have a goalkeeper attacking the ball. He will suffice for now.

Maybe take the team up to Falmer before each home game and let them know that they won't be playing in the best stadium in the south (outside of London) if they don't win more than they lose at home.
In a sense that does sound about right. However, we do have an away record that many clubs would be envious of and it is not really a case of going away and parking a bus in front of the goal.
