No Deal can be an option, but people must know we won't be doing that on 29th March 2019, and that No Deal may well end up looking like Switzerland -, we will have bi-lateral agreements, and freedom of movement is quite likely to be included at some point in the future.
I think the very start of this thread explains how it is that the leave vote would not be split.
In the poll above, Remain is leading, and No deal is beating Mays deal 19.3% to 15.4%, so Mays deal is discounted from the vote as it has the lowest support, and it is now No deal v Remain, those...
I would say that is the reason there is popular demand for one. If there was little interest in a second referendum, despite the fact that the outcome is clearer now than then, it would be less likely to happen.
In the end, the only reason may be that our PM cannot get her deal past Parliament...
Perhaps, or perhaps when there is popular support for something different.
We had a referendum on Europe 40 odd years ago, the date for another one was not set, it occured when there was seemingly an appetite for it. There seems to me to be an appetite for a referendum on the issue again now...
What ideology, logic? There has to be a point on time when the referendum result will be outdated, what point in time do you think that should be, and what is your reasoning behind that?
If we leave on the 29th of March, it is probable that there will be more remain voters still drawing breath...
I do believe a lot of people did not understand what they were voting for, but that is possibly in similar proportions for remain voters. The big problem is that you did not know, because you could not know, what Leave would actually deliver in terms of how close we are with the EU, we still...
Floored me with that reasoned response there.
At some point the referendum result will be aged enough to no longer be valid, I say we have reached that point now, because the margin was so narrow, and the demographics would suggest that many more leave voters have left this world, and more...
If it is the will of the living people, what is the problem? If TM's deal gets the nod, we can do it in 3 months, and I can't complain that a number of those that voted for it are dead and that there is no mandate from the living, by the time it happens,
