Liverpool came about because of a dispute between Everton and the landlord of Anfield. Everton left for Goodison and the landlord formed Liverpool F.C. to make use of the football ground he owned. Nothing to do with Catholics wanting their own club.

If we were called Falmer FC then our stadium would not be out of town, but we are not. As Everton are called "Everton" it surely makes sense to say they are representing Everton rather than Liverpool. Or am I mental?
