Tremendous automatic announcement. We had a bit of a chuckle when we pulled into Victoria and the announcement came on saying "this is London Bridge, our final destination".
Fun times for me this morning too, my London Bridge train was diverted to Victoria because of a broken down train apparently stopping ANY trains getting to London Bridge from East Croydon
I was actually chuckling to myself about it too, he also had BO which occasionally wafted in my direction, there's no excuse for that.
I can never understand people who have the key-click on, if I have it on my own phone it annoys ME.
Or if you're a contractor and can take it as an "expense"...
Yes I think not having to deal with people (at least in person) is the only benefit of driving. I almost had an embarrassing moment yesterday, the guy next to me had his music on really loudly to the point where I could hear it with...
People who drive a reasonable distance to work probably pay the same or even more when you take into account petrol, maintenance, tax, insurance and depreciation. I personally don't think train season tickets are that bad, it's the service that's the issue.
My journey in was OK this morning, I was quite surprised when it was only (the usual) 12 minutes late.
No doubt they'll make up for it with the journey home, this landslide looks like a good start.
I swear this happens at least 3 times EVERY week.

This is what I always think, the combined lateness of my trains over a 5 day week could be 4+ hours but if none of the delays are over 30 minutes then I'm not entitled to claim a penny back. This is why I feel no guilt claiming against a delayed train even if I managed to find an alternative...
Indeed, there was no apology of any sort. In fact the guard made an announcement at 07.34 saying "this is the London Bridge service which will be departing at 07.32"
I was pleasantly surprised this morning, the 07.32 only left about 3 minutes late and we pulled into London Bridge about 12 minutes late which happens on most days anyway. No doubt the shambles will resume tomorrow when there is a bit of DRIZZLE.
