Not Millwall but back in the 80s one of the top bootboys for the NF was a chap called Nicky Crane. He ended up doing security for the neo nazi band Skrewdriver just to give you an idea of what sort of person he was. Turned out he was in the closet the whole time and died of aids in the early 90s.

It's some sort of denial of middle age so are trying to pretend to themselves they are still young and virile and ready to fight. Whilst the reality is they're an overweight, unfit 50+ bloke that should definitely know better.
