    Slow ticket sales for Brentford

Sadly The Royal Oak is already gone so we no longer have a pub on each corner. I never like seeing any pub close, but I've not been in any of the corner pubs for years (I don't actually know any Brentford who drink in any of them although some clearly do) - another bonus of Griffin Park is the...

    Slow ticket sales for Brentford

I can understand the point, I'm well aware that no-one outside of the other West London clubs in this division would consider us a "big" game. There have been many excellent fixtures between us in the past with each and neither coming out on top - I always enjoy them and there tends to be a...

We have the most often admired football ground roof in the world.

Doubtless it is, but there are numerous generic modern grounds with plenty of legroom and an unhindered view. Having said that, I quite like your ground which has a unique enough feel to it.

Fair enough if you prefer a modern all seater to a traditional ground with terracing and plenty of pubs nearby (although our new ground should be alright as they go and still in Brentford at least).

Who at home do you consider such a top draw in the second tier? I doubt anyone in the Championship beyond West London considers us much of "a draw" at home but we'll cope. Griffin Park on the other hand is probably one of the best away days you can have, probably too enjoyable.

    Slow ticket sales for Brentford

That's the case for clubs who don't regularly sell out but I was under the impression you are often close to doing so - maybe that's not the case. Fair point though, I was under the impression from the title of the thread that the slow ticket sales were specific to this game.

    Slow ticket sales for Brentford

People turn up who often aren't even fans and just want to see top tier football. It's how Fulham suddenly started getting 24,000 crowds whilst still struggling to take four figures even to London away games.

    Slow ticket sales for Brentford

I'm very disappointed with our sales so far, much as the percentage of our home support we take away is excellent. The excuse being given is Villa away the following Wednesday but I'd have hoped to reach 1,800 at least.

"Not a big draw" is a ridiculous comment to make about anyone seeing as you're supposed to be going to support your club. Your comment is also quite right, plenty of excellent fixtures between us over the years and one which was often looked forward to from both sides.
