I refer you to post 54 on this thread. I clearly state I had to google them. And no the pleasure has been all mine. Merry Christmas.

The betting market I saw last week. I assumed by the looks of it incorrectly that was the people in the running to win.

Seeing as Frankie Detori made the list year why wasn't Haarland on it? But seeing as it's supposed to be a British sportsperson. Jack Grealish has had a good year so has Phil Foden and John Stones. Not one made the list. I'm assuming that is how many people watched the girls final? Where are...

I said the fact over half the list was made up by women footballers was woke because it suited the BBC's agenda of trying to keep the woke brigade happy. The fact they didn't win the team of the year completely backs this up.

WHAT? So the greatest achievement in the history of sport as it is perceived by some on here and the judges who put the short list together and they didn't even win the team of year despite having half the field in the main event!?! That makes it even more of a joke. Likewise not winning manager...

Of course it was woke. It's the BBC ticking the boxes it wants to tick. Covers gender, sexuality, race and disability. Whilst ignoring achievements like Manchester City winning the treble. Why no City players on the list? As I've said on this thread I've no problem with someone from a minority...

Apologies for not following womens football and wheelchair tennis. I'm bang into my music but I expect if I watch the top of the pops christmas special I won't know 2/3rds of the acts in the hit parade....am I walking round with my fingers in my ears as well as my eyes closed?

I bow down to your superior knowledge of running, jumping and throwing. Well you've just repeated what I said but surely a higher media profile is a good thing for any sport......a bit like womens football currently? The difference being I've heard of Fatima Whitbread and Paula Radcliff. I'd...

All won stuff at the Olympics. Which in some peoples eyes is the greatest sporting event in the world. So not really seeing your point. Especially given the point you make below. Also it was a much better era for athletics because they were portrayed in the media as superheroes. If you asked...

Was and drew past tense. Very much tomorrows chips papers now. That said I don't know one bloke who watched any of the womens world cup so I'm not sure I agree men were that interested in it. It seemed to me to be watched by the part time sports fans that appear for two weeks during Wimbledon...

Was it? Or was it one of the few sporting events the BBC show these days? Why is it ok for the sports personality of the year come from a minority sport now when it was pooh poohed when Bob Nudd won it?

I hadn't heard of half of them when I saw the betting yesterday including the odds on favourite. Used to be a big deal now just a woke box ticking exercise from the BBC it would seem.
