Personally as a 1901 member it still makes zero sense to me. Don't use public transport to get to games. Adverse weather will affect the players as well surely so the game will be rearranged and I'll go to the rearranged game. Injury or illness hasn't kept me away from a game in over 30 years...

Whilst I agree it's a total waste of money no one is putting a gun to your head to buy it. You get offered these sorts of insurance policies when you buy gig, plane, train tickets these days. I always just say no thank you and get on with my life......as I will do here. If everyone else does...
