I've had it for about ten years since an inner ear infection. It comes and goes and is definitely worse when stressed and when bunged up after a cold. I sometimes get vertigo with it, which contrary to popular belief (and Alfred Hitchcock), is nothing to do with fear of heights.

My wife used to complain about the noise too. It was a constant whining noise. I smothered her with a pillow and it stopped.
