Yes, poor choice of words to paraphrase the point on my behalf. No player is the finished article. And as has been said, it's not meant as a criticism of Ince.
It's not even my point. I was just disputing bold seagull's claim that Oscar thinks Ince isn't playing like a raw talent, that Oscar...
I'm questioning your belief that Oscar agrees with you about him being the finished article. It appears to me as if he is of the belief that he is getting there, rather than he is there.
The one who "rested" him for six of the last twelve games, and decided that he wasn't the answer to help turn the team around when we were putting in bad performances v the likes of Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, and didn't think he would help v forest when we were struggling.
Great! Now I want him to get sent off v middlesbrough so someone can come in here and bump this with "he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!" (with a better reason than you simply said 'messiah')
It's also potential that can be squandered if we push him too hard too fast too soon. If we pile on expectations he could burn out, if we put him in against teams too strong with experience or whatever it can destroy his confidence before he's had much of a chance to establish it.
I honestly...
Didn't he do that early in the second half when we were under pressure shortly after the kick off, whacking it down the wing, a bit of pressure and we went from defending on the edge of our area to a throw in down near their corner. Or was that someone else?
