    There is clearly a difference in the contract status of Maenpaa and Krul. The just-published retain list and free transfer list show that Maenpaa's contract has been "Extended", similar to the likes of Bjordal, Hall and Collings.     Believe it or not, last summer the club didn't announce that Maenpaa was staying until July 14. I have no idea if either Krul or Maenpaa (or both) are staying, but the lack of an announcement so far doesn't yet mean anything.

    It isn't an "English" quota, it is a "Home Grown Player" quota - which is why Tim Krul, for instance, qualifies, and Glenn Murray doesn't.
