Because his distribution is a bit better than Kuipers. For the record I don't care which of them play in goal but if I had to make choice then Henderson just about wins it for the reason above.
No it is not. You initially go in goal because you can stop the ball going in the net. From that point you need to have other skills; concentration, distribution, commanding your defence, timing for crosses, knowing when to come and when not to.
That is where you are very wrong, saving is a basic skill that you are expected to do. Command of area and distribution are far more important.
I've played in goal for over 20 years and one of the things that always getting me dropped was my poor distribution particularly once the back pass...
The third was a 50-50 Henderson had to come otherwise the striker was through one on one it was just unfortunate that it rebounded of the striker's arse.
You obviously don't play as a keeper then. I assume you are one of those who thinks all the keeper does is stop shots, well that is not the case. Since the back pass rule was phased out professional keepers have to be as comfortable on the ball as the outfield players.
