How do you get from Woodingdean to the ground?

I travel from BH and gave up on this route as Coldean Lane could be such a pain. I now do Chailey, Lewes and in from the east on the A27. A predictable 30 min journey. I’ll do the Beacon home but I’m one of those who leave a couple of mins early.
