To fall into 4th best season territory we’d have to get fewer than 2 points from our remaining 7 games. That would be quite an appalling run.
To secure our 2nd best season we only need 5 points. To do no better than 1 win, 1 draw and 5 defeats would be quite a poor run.
So Man Utd are being saved from a relegation battle by the bottom three being awful.
And the teams above us are catchable if we do well / they have a wobble.
Our next 4 fixtures are Bournemouth, Fulham, Man City and Villa. Do well in those games and it gets very exciting. Struggle and mid table it is - which is fine.
There is an issue with the thread title. Keeping pace with the relegation tracker will not avoid Hurzeler bashing. Being behind the European tracker should not result in Hurzeler bashing.
Therefore I propose personalised trackers where we can individually set our minimum expectation for the...
By my calculations Man Utd are now 0 on the staying up tracker while Everton are now +1 and Wolves have climbed to -2.
I was curious because Man Utd’s run in looks tough - could they really end the season on just 40 points?
