    Yeah this thread does help with perspective. A reminder of just how long a season is - there will be a time we look excellent again this season, I'm sure of it. Will it be enough for Europe? Possibly not, but it's the first season under Fabian, he will continue to grow and improve.

    If it's any crumb of comfort I thought Newcastle looked utter cack (and very unfit) against Southampton, who handed them the game with the red card.
