Their fans moan too when it is passed around the back
But yes Lindsey believes in really progressive football so great to see it being rewarded. If they kept that team together, then it will do fine in League 1. The problem is it's mostly shorter term contracts at that level - and...
Well I thought I was arguing there was little connection between some of their governance practices and on-pitch performance but yeh I’d better say you know best otherwise I’ll spend the rest of the evening fielding 10 of your posts 👍
lol they do. I actually thought their various different ways of doing things last season was interesting but Crawley's fans are a very conservative bunch (maybe like most fan bases tbf) and they just wanted a faceless owner up in the sky running the club with no new ways of fan engagement or...
Indeed - if Crawley transformed as a club, then the fun could potentially begin. But it remains a very remote prospect. Luton is historically a much bigger club. Crawley is more a Stevenage. It's League One for a few years kind of thing at best and then inevitable relegation thanks to the...
To get to the nub of the issue, there is genuinely ZERO rivalry between Brighton and Crawley - yes I know Crawley fans tried to whip some up in the dim and distant early 90s but come on it lasted 5 minutes and one heavy defeat.
As recently as around 2012 ish (not sure exact date around then)...
Bit random that - I witter on about socialism all the time on here and am probably one of the biggest defenders of Crawley, snobbery is more associated with posh Tories
You are kind of half right in mentioning Yems but not for the reasons you state. Practically no fan knew about the Yems situation before it broke in the media - indeed the players affected specifically mentioned the culture of silence about his behaviour when they complained about him to the FA...
I’m not sure that’s true - I go to Crawley games and chat to plenty Albion fans there. I remember for many years I had to send my little cheque off to the Brighton Supporters Club and it was to an address in Crawley!
Wasn’t that the council not the club? Be interesting to know if it was Tory or Labour back then who took that decision.
The club itself have happily given a home to Brighton for many years now
