Going to stick up for Costa here.
They branded my taste buds a long time ago. My two independents nearby do much better food, I rarely if ever buy food from Costa. But their coffee is way better. There is skill making coffee and I’m very lucky my Costa has permanent people been there years.
It’s well documented younger generations cannot verbally communicate and avoid at all costs. The speed they text and type at however is impressive. If it wasn’t so sad!
Oh do behave. It’s 99.999999% certain they’re a lazy duck. Nothing more. Nothing less. Not saying they’ve not got issues as you say. Just they’re lazy issues. Which is why they can’t cook either. Or make a sandwich seemingly.
This in a nutshell. Convenience and cheapness often trump everything else including morals! We’re tired, busy people and predisposed to all those little chemicals in our brain that the thought of food generates!
This. My local coffee shop and pub are places I go to for social interaction and companionship, even when I’m taking away. I’ve met loads of lovely people….and they say the same ;)
Why is any of it overpriced? How do you know, and even if so, isn’t that so subjective it doesn’t warrant even debating. Price is what you pay, value is what you get and all that!
This has also happened. Business and Industry sector has been decimated by home working. Meanwhile School children order Deliveroo too instead of going to dining halls. See it daily. Mopeds going to gates all time of day, especially where 6th forms exist. Kids have loads of disposable income...
Eating out is the third biggest sector so not sure it’s any surprise. People want it delivered (still counted as eating out before the pedants rush) often so can watch TV at same time. This is literally what has happened I kid you not. People cannot be bothered to even collect their food...
