[Albion] Train Drivers Strike - Luton (a)

There is an hourly Thameslink service between St Pancras and Luton calling at Luton Airport Parkway ONLY. Last train departs at 1900. East Midlands run a half hourly service between St Pancras and Corby which calls at Luton, normal hours for that service although I expect it will be very busy.

East Midlands Trains will definitely run, Thameslink ones I can give you an answer on Monday.

The game is on and a normal Matchday service will run. Final answer, glad we had all that panic…. It’s not an hourly service it’s 4 trains an hour with 2 extra trains if crew are available.

The problem is that drivers are still not able to cover service even WITH overtime, what I'm saying is that they need to recruit more drivers and still will have to use overtime to cover basic service. Its more that the drivers won't lose there opportunity for overtime, even with added...

There would still be overtime opportunity, its at a point now, where basic service cannot be covered by even volunteer overtime, take a look at Thameslink over Christmas as an example. Some operators are in better positions than others

No because there isn't enough to cover basic service, they need to recruit more, the government won't allow it, I can tell you that from experience.

I mean a previous post by @theboybilly has explained how difficult it is, why don't you just stop chatting a load of wham, and learn some respect. You manage to come across as incredibly self centred, would probably learn a thing or two from learning from and listening to other people. This...

It’s a lag from the RMT strike, when you couldn’t open those stations due to lack of staff.

The last train to London was around 8:40pm, I can tell you this as a FACT. Trains didn’t stop at Hassocks, that problem will be rectified if the same timetable runs again.

They won’t be stuck in Brighton unless they decide they are going to stay out all night as the last train on overtime day has been 8-9pm.

Nothing has been decided on the Palace so maybe wait and see about don’t monger doom. On some overtime ban days, a full service has ran, on others not. The Burnley game was an overtime ban, trains ran back to London until 10pm, when the game was last called off for strike reason there were NO...

Yeah maybe it was, just remember a few times we’ve had free coaches put on for some games (Norwich Away after promotion). Just see other clubs do it on occasion, Palace are doing it for their replay at Everton.

Have people genuinely forgotten about the concept of supporting the team in the constant QUEST for points. Getting odd now :lolol:

I think this is the problem with this country, we seem to have just lost complete and utter respect for our fellow man. These particular strikes have ruined my travel plans, and I think we have reached an impasse personally. But ffs have some respect for other people Jesus, what a horrid thing...

Well you might as well speculate then and get everyone in a panic. Let’s be honest there hasn’t been “chaos” in the city and running battles for years and having visited Europe palace fans are all a bit all bark no bite, the police should, police the game and keep fans apart, it’s not outside...

I theory yes, but don’t know their plans currently, they have on occasion got scared about overcrowding and not run in a similar situation. I expect services will be VERY busy.

Maybe this is me being a bit entitled and asking for stuff for free, but with the relatively small allocation and short trip, this would be a really nice opportunity for the club to reward some of its most dedicated fans with some free coach travel?

Considering Palace are also playing at home that day, you are talking out your a*se, in a shock twist of events that nobody could have forseen.

Its new territory, the law is there, but regardless I have no idea where you would get drivers not striking from.
