I'm not sure I agree and I am happy to take this discussion elsewhere to avoid derailing an important thread about this scandal. The difference from the RSPCA is that the PO was the victim, the police, and the prosecutor (not, I admit, in all cases).
This needs more than individual prosecutions. It calls in to question the way that employed lawyers are conflicted between their obligations to their profession and to their employer. There should be no more prosecutions from anyone but the state CPS.
