    I don't think you're correct on this, because the BBC have made no mention of it and just said he'll need to be sworn in to the HoL as a matter of urgency.

    He didn't want one though. He specifically said he would turn down a seat in the HoL because was retiring from front line politics and leaving London/Westminster behind.

    As above, you can be in the House of Lords and a cabinet minister.

    You have to be in either House, so I'd guess he'll now take up a position in the Lords (given by convention all ex-PMs can).
