    I think it was approximately 600. Once the outcome of the public inquiry into the proposed student housing is known then this could be option again if planning is refused and the owners abandon any ambitions to develop the site.

    This is not the worst suggestion in the world. One 12 car Thameslink train can accommodate 1800 people, which is about double an 8 car 377. Just scheduling one of these to arrive maybe 10-15 minutes on the Brighton bound line after the final whistle would have a big impact. And it could be back...
