Next season - aside from Saturday 3pms - all PL games , midweek, Sundays, Friday, lunchtimes, evenings on Saturday will be available to Sky/TNT subscribers. (Sky are showing 215 games next season - 70% more than this season) . TNT are showing 52 matches.
So - 71% of all games will be televised.
Yes. - But the next two away games are sold out and you'd imagine Spurs and Wolves will also sell out
Albion away games mostly sell out pretty quickly. I think the last one that didn't was Villa ? (might have sold out on the day ? )
so potentially its an option for most away games.
The concourse beam back was this match in 2016/17. Hemed's equaliser was actually 90+7
We nearly went 3-0 down but Stockdale saved a penalty - what a game and afternoon that was. And i wasn't even there !
The atmosphere in the new place for those new Beambacks - if we eke out a few wins - is...
last one i went to was Brentford away in the promotion season. The 3-3 with Hemed's header in the 94th. Great atmosphere on the North Stand concourse that afternoon.
Ha ! . Of course i think Palace - Brighton is going to be the first watching a match at the Terrace at 3pm on a Saturday event on April 5th. *
*subject to getting a broadcast licence
Ha ! Isn't The club putting on a afternoon, organised by them to watch Palace (A) and eat their drink and food and watch their screens - for example - in their new venue - the very definition of corporate entertainment ! ??
Yes. Its "digital" ordering - there will be touch screens inside available to do it too it says. Presumably a bit like McDonalds. (i don't think you need the app, just access to the website)
And then i guess you queue for your order at the ordering window.
Yep. from the FAQ...
"All food and...
Imagine so. They did sell beer there once before from several stalls and have a queuing system - the only difference is there will now be a roof over the top of you. (Doesn’t look like the capacity of the Available bar will be that different )
the numbers likely to be congregating there in that space are no different from the numbers that congregated there before buying beer and fish and chips and burgers from the outside stands. Except they now have a roof over them.
Having access to a part of the Terrace is not the same as getting 50p off your pint if you have a certain credit card. We can all buy a pint of Harveys . I get how its a negative for some (i'm sure there are some that object to the idea that the stadium is named after a credit card) but its...
i think they come and go in terms of offers but hasn't there been discounts for Amex Cardholders and , also A+ Members and Season Ticket Holders for buying merch, food and drink since the Amex opened. ?
One small thing - it says in the FAQ - you can have up to three guests with you who won't have cards. And @Bozza has said the club are going to be "sensible" in terms of managing volumes if the upstairs balcony space is underused etc. (my reading of that is they will just open it up for...
Yep. Agreed. Many will turn up at Villa and be surprised they won't be able to go upstairs. I guess most will just not care, some will be annoyed about it, and a few might just go home and order a card - which i guess is what AMEX are hoping for given they've given the club ££ to sponsor it ?
