How long until this gets cancelled? Free to air...hmmm. hope it gets well attended but we'll see.
I still don't think the decision makers truly understand that the location of the Amex is SHIT, even if you're not stood in a queue with 30000 others trying to get home. It might be fine if you're a multi millionaire with a chauffeur to drive you home, but for anyone else who doesn't live at...
Well done to everyone who rightly ridiculed and refused to purchase tickets for such a shameless money grab.
It is actually of some comfort that the club have for once admitted they got it wrong and shelved the whole thing, reverting to a YouTube free-for-all instead. Although I suspect that...
Yep I agree. I cannot fathom how anyone decided it should be a reward to simply know somebody with a credit card. Get rid of that and I think there would be a lot more good feeling about the place.
Ofc they will sack it off by limiting guests and increasing the rate of the necessary card to...
Agree that music is completely unnecessarily loud, and also very shit to be honest. Very strange decision to blast that out and make everyone shout at each other. At least you could hear the guy on the PA this week though...although I can't say he's my cup of tea personally.
One thing...
You also seem to be making an assumption that the people who will now go to the Fanzone aren't the ones who already staggered their arrival from the ground, staying behind in the concourses. I am not convinced it will be that significant.
Anyway, says a lot about the motives of modern day...
Because it's well established that the challenge leaving the Amex is not on a Sunny Saturday, when thousands are still at the ground after 6 or even 7, having a few drinks with friends, but for the evening fixtures. The Amex is already brilliant for people not in a rush to go home on a Saturday...
The cynicism is only in the context of people claiming that the travel issues are going to be helped by this. * Which seems dubious at best at this point.
That deflects from all your points which are completely valid. The new facility looks absolutely fantastic.
Will it though, are there that many fans who aren't made of the thousands that already currently stay for a beer in the concourses (and Dicks until January), who will suddenly be hanging around after games now rather than jumping on the first train?
As i see it, most people who already stay...

I am a Fanzone sceptic at the beginning of this thread but I think it looks great. Just hope it doesn't become a kids playground
The club doesn't want to put more buses on because they have to pay for them. They only put the much needed extra park and rides on when the trains are really screwed. It's a pointless conversation.
The clubs only solution to this is to build a much bigger bar for people to pay 7 quid a pint in...
Look at the photo above. That is a very different 'footprint' in the North East corner and a lot narrower than it was in May. Maybe it's camera trickery in which case i apologise. I don't think so though.
So with the first home game less than 4 weeks away (ignoring the friendly which will be mostly empty seats) it's hard to see the building site not causing a logistical headache. What a mess.
