And the external capacity, will people be fenced in to keep the numbers below 2000 if so I assume you will not be able to buy a pint and walk around the ground unless there is a separate outside bar.
I wondered that, never used the outdoor food outlets but liked a beer outside on a nice day. If there is a 2000 outdoor capacity will it be fenced in, will you by able to buy a pint outside and stand elsewhere.
Having looked at it the other week I would be amazed if all those long benches downstairs last long, the queues for the fish and chips etc nearly went to the ticket office and you would assume this would be busier. The area out the front hasnt got any bigger and I would assume they will need all...
The key will be how many spaces American Express will give to invited guests that are not necessarily card holders especially for the visits of Liverpool, Man U etc
I would keep well clear the first couple of games to let things settle down, I still don’t the lower level looks as big as on the images but may look completely different when it is opened up.
Hopefully I will be proved wrong but I think it is the whole upstairs, why would American Express have to send out invitations to utilise the space if it will be a small area, I am sure the whole upstairs would be rammed even if you let in cardholders and 3 guests let alone general fans without...
It should easily be fully utilised every game anyway. I wonder how many invitations they will be sending and to who, it could end up being another corporate area with a few Amex card holders and their guests added on.
I had a peek inside last night, a lot of progress has been made and it is looking good. I am not sure how the benches below will work there doesn’t seem that much space compared to the video and judging how long the queues were for the bar and fish and chips before I would have thought standing...
That was my thought as well, it’s all very nice but will be rammed and I imagine all the seats will be gone from 3 hours before kickoff. If I stay after the game I go to the North Stand or East Lower if I am with the kids, the Terrace being there will not determine if I stay after the game it...
I believe in the next few years they are looking to build on the embankment by the East Stand, this was initially in the original Amex plans I think to be used by a college at the time.
It looks great and and would be a massive improvement on what is already there although looking at the space I think it’s going to be a lot smaller than what people are expecting.
