We def don’t need to write off the EL. We just need to find a way to get through the group stage successful, because it’s not going to be long before the new players are up to speed and things look better.
I feel the the midfield were hung out to dry a bit tbh. Everyone knows Villa are strong and physical in midfield yet he plays Hinshelwood on his debut and Gilmour isn’t exactly the worlds strongest man. How were they ever going to compete?
I know his options are pretty limited but a 3rd...
I kind of agree with Cole, if he could have a reasonably settled side but only make say 2-3 changes rather than playing almost a different side each game, then the players could start to learn to play alongside each other again.
One person said earlier on in the thread that they thought he was...
Unless you want to go and get them back from Liverpool and Chelsea, what is the point in continually pining for them?
We have injuries there and players to develop who do fill those gaps. We aren’t seeing the midfield at full strength, it doesn’t mean the players we have now aren’t good...
De Zerbi is having to play a lot of new players into his system and into PL experience. It’s going to take some time. On the plus side, hopefully Real will cross him off the list and once the likes of Baleba etc get up to speed, we’ll be flying.
It’s f***ing pathetic that people keep harping back to them like a long lost ex that binned us.
We aren’t saying these things when we are beating Newcastle and Man U or forgetting they were playing when we got hammered by Everton and Forest last year.
That’s because Gross has about 10 years experience on all of them. I disagree, the other CM are different kinds of player, nothing to do with them not being good enough.
The forwards are frustrating me. Not holding the ball up there, losing possession when it’s played forward to them and missing the few chances created.
