I thought I would feel a lot more upset about this result, but strangely I'm very neutral.
I'm partly disappointed by our exit out of a cup, especially because it was against Chelsea, however I feel like this will only help us in the long run.
Here's a fact:
The last three matches for Chelsea were 0-0 by half-time.
However, they would proceed to lose two of these matches by full-time and drew the other against Bournemouth.
So, if history repeats itself, we should be confident.
HT: Chelsea 0-0 Brighton
Robert Sanchez had gifted Brighton two possible chances, but both Pedro and Fati were unable to convert.
Whereas, Chelsea had a few chances of their own as well as some poor passes from our centre-backs in what has been a lacklustre match.
We are struggling to convert our chances, not performing particularly well in that final third unfortunately, but come on Brighton!
Van Hecke making another mistake, defensively it hasn't been great either.
