    [Travel] Amsterdam Travel Advice Please

If I can recommend the best dish The Netherlands has to offer, please take a kapsalon after your night out. It is a calorie bomb but it's the best thing. Only problem is if you ask for a kapsalon to a random Dutch person they may send you to a random hairdresser...

That's true. I mean this politely, but did your friends move into the centre in the last 10-15 years? Kinda, what else do you expect? I live in the centre of Utrecht and the noise and unruliness (especially from the studentenverenigingen) is just part of living in the centre. Everyone loves the...

I have to say I don't really go to Amsterdam much anymore apart from concerts or when friends visit. Groningen is nice but so far out the way. Ijhorst is the bible belt so no surprise there. My ex lived the other side of Zwolle and would get comments for wearing jeans on a Sunday. A lot of...

It's a phenomenal city, but I can understand why you think that. It isn't the same as it was 10 years ago and the mayor is trying to change it into London-lite. Still some lovely cities in NL mind you. Utrecht, Leiden, Delft, The Hague, Zaandam and even Rotterdam are all great cities to visit too.

Terrible. Not a car friendly city. Park and rides you can find here: https://www.amsterdam.nl/en/parking/park-ride/. I'd say the Olympic Stadium or VMC would be the best or Sloterdijk. For the best area: Hard to say, the closer to the central station the better in my opinion. But public...

Also good to know, any museums you want to go to make sure you pre-book. You will be disappointed otherwise.

If you have any specific questions that haven't been answered, feel free to send me a PM. The train is easy, go through passport control, buy a ticket and it's underneath the airport. You'll be at Amsterdam Centraal within 15 minutes and your hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station.
