Hey! How dare you disrespect The British Bulldog, who was wrestling in his hometown of London, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, London, UK, England!
(Bret Hitman was the best there ever was…)
When you say you're watching EVERYTHING....? All Raws, Heats, Nitros?
Yeah it seemed to fit his (potentially genuine) attitude to being slightly pissed off at McMahon/the company. I know he went to WCW but in my head his wrestling career basically ended at SS97.
I picked out RR92 randomly to be honest. Anything from about 86-00 pretty much, but I particularly enjoyed the Rumbles and the Survivor Series PPVs.
Bret Hart was IT for me as a kid.
Still find his style really neat and very easy to watch.
All hell breaking loose on twitter.
The Netflix deal news followed immediately by a sex trafficking story in the NYT, implicating Vince McMahon amongst others.
The timing of these 2 things together can’t be coincidence.
I'd be more interested as to whether they were adding archives on.
If all the WWE network stuff ended up on Netflix, I would be VERY happy.
Unrealistic perhaps, but with Disney+ (Simpsons, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar etc etc) we are seeing some of these big streaming platforms swallowing each...
Not properly. Had a few half goes and probably will again at some point. I do wonder though if it's just too baked in nostalgia that anything new just doesn't feel right.
Any chat about WWF/WCW from about 1988 to 1999, I'm all over it. Purely a nostalgia fest for me, lost interest when Attitude Era ended and it's never gotten me back really.
I recommend WrestleMe (podcast) to anyone of a similar timeline, Pete from The Football Ramble and a buddy of his go back...
