This is what I'm struggling with.
This idea that teams setting up like this won't be the norm.
Why would any manager not at least try and do this given that's now three teams in about the last ten matches that have tried the same trick and come away with an easy three points?
Totally disagree. Howe will respect our attacking. He'll keep it tight and know his attacking players have enough on the break. Absolutely no need for them to out football us.
You can be certain that Howe is going to be absolutely licking his lips thinking about Almerion, Isak, Barnes and Gordon running at this lot. Big week for RDZ, this is quite clearly not what he's expecting from his defenders.
If we sign both Diaz and Baleba you could see them getting a lot more time together than we probably expected.
The way teams move through the midfield of the pitch is a serious concern.
It's alarmingly similar to the Everton game.
Dyche of all people gave every other manager a very clear blueprint for how to play against us that night.
Obviously what RDZ has achieved here has been incredible. But it's so obviously the case that at the AMEX in particular you simply defend for...
Once Gilmour scores I suspect he'll be a very regular scorer..gets in dangerous positions and you don't pass like that without eventually realising shooting is just passing it into the next.
The problem with Welbeck is that he's at his best being the focal point and creating space around and beyond him. He just seems to get in the way with another man up top with him. We need to spread the play more and faster second half. We aren't going to get joy down the middle against a team so...
Don't know why people are surprised West Ham are doing what they are. Great on the break, a set piece specialist. This is what's going to happen this season, especially at home.
This is where we need a little bit of magic because right now we are going to struggle to get clear cut chances...
