    I think a US sports guy on the Twitter say similar deals has been done before, but they are very rare. But yes, very odd! I think there were some State tax advantages at play, too.

    But didn't he only agree to that setup because he gets about $50m a year in sponsorships and endorsements? But sure many soccerers are going to command that kind of power.
