I’m not going to make the mistake of attempting to create match day thread for the game tonight. So posting this here from the clubs FB page. Fingers crossed we see Lamptey, Dunk and Lallana tonight. We need to start playing our 1st teamers in these friendly fixtures!

You won’t see that defensive line-up again this season in a competitive match. The sloppy stuff will be gone once the likes of Dunk, Igor, Estupinan and Milner are back in defence.

Adringra’s eyes prior to his second were textbook on the slo-mo. Staring so intently at our other players running in, the Brentford keeper buys it hook, line and sinker. Adingra just passes it round him with no real resistance because he has bought the dummy.

Steele seems to be on a mission to fastrack himself to legendary status. What he is now is a brilliant ambassador for the club, role model for the youngsters and leader on and off the pitch. Then there is his football. Impressive person.

My thoughts exactly. He should be ok for September but I’m sure i saw him picking his eyeball up off the grass and shoving it back in his hole.

Newcastle may well have had him take a medical, they got so close. But the temptation to divert the £30m cash plus another £40m on Isak was just too much. The irony of course is that by the end of next year, a £70m+ valuation is very possible for JP.

To be honest, I was pretty shocked when we spent £30m on him. Our record transfer (by a lot) for a team that likes a sub £10m bargain. But as you demonstrate, that looks like stunning value already. As others have said, keeping him out the team is going to be almost impossible for Ferguson...
