Just wanted to say I was impressed with the way he went to meet Jack and Diego after their misses in the shootout so they weren't walking back on their own, showed a real maturity and leadership IMHO
Chap next to me as he stood over the penalty said “he’s the best taker in the world, I’d put my house on him scoring”. He went through quite a few emotions in the course of about 3-4 seconds.
Jonny Cantor said of his attempts to rev the crowd up that he reminded him of Knockaert, someone who wants the best from the crowd to give his best back
Give that man a chant already
RdZ complained about him being lazy at the start of the season, I worry he’s seen as having blotted his copybook and RdZ is reluctant to change his mind (see Trossard) on such things
He’s upped his effort I think, a few moments where he could have been a bit stronger in buying a free kick late on rather than trying a pointless flick but definitely lost the laziness de Zerbi criticised him for to my eyes.
