I'm struggling with the Police line on this - a vehicle collided with a building. Like its an everyday hazard, with buildings moving around randomly, jumping out in front of unsuspecting cars, with children playing in the buidling's garden, oblivious to the poor movement and lack of care taken...

But how else are they going to get there?

Insufficient use because of poor service and investment. Improve the service and folk have an option to use. Clear the roads and it becomes the first choice

Surely reliable public transport is the solution. Without car congestion it would be straight forward to achieve. Much more achievable that autonomous vehicles that would still experience the fundamental problem of too many cars on the road. Less car ownership is the solution
