    This doesn't look very equal to me (MLB):- In case the numbers aren't easily read, the 2023 total payroll in Major League Baseball goes from less than $60m to $345m.

    Exercising an option doesn't cause an updated contract to be registered (because it is part of the existing contract). I am absolutely saying that Alexis signed a new contract that included a one year option (it was only "secret" in the fact that it was never reported, for whatever reason).
