[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

What’s the point in having a Ferrari if you don’t get it out for a quick spin on a sunny day?

[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

Mitoma may or may not have been tired (he probably was) but he still created the best chance of the game for Enciso, who unfortunately fired straight at Navas. No-one else in our squad is capable of the run he made to create that. And then, in the second half, he bust a gut on that blistering...

[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

That's a little bit knee-jerk too. Buying any player, at any level, is a gamble of sorts. You could level the label of flop, or similar, at big money deals of £100m or more, such as Coutinho, Pogba , Hazard, and Lukaku, and there's more I'm sure. It doesn't mean someone has f***ed up. Some...

[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

I'm not saying he's shite. You're saying RDZ has made a mistake by not playing him, but how do you know that. If he's not kicked a ball in 13 games, including a time when we are stretched, tired and leggy, then it kinda implies to me that the people who seem him every day in training don't...

[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

How can you say that? None of us have seen Gilmoir in training, but RDZ and his team do, every single day. We’ve played 13 games in a row now where Gilmoir hasn’t featured for a single minute. There will be a very good reason why RDZ hasn’t wanted to introduce him.

[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

He wasn't given a kick in our previous 12 fixtures, so it would have taken something catastrophic to see him get on tonight. He's clearly not fancied and/or doesn't impress RDZ in training, which makes him very much surplus to requirements as things stand.

[Albion] Lack of squad depth will cost us

Agreed. We were decent enough for a long period of that game but, as is our way, spurned great chances. Enciso fired straight at Navas when a foot either side was a goal and Mitoma really should have scored when he only had Navas to beat. To miss the target completely from there is very poor. I...
