Or how it makes anybody who has suffered from the likes of Jimmy Saville feel, particularly if they were standing next to some gormless goon singing it.

Fair enough. At least you tried. You could take it to the Marching Out Together fans group. If enough evidence is collected then something may get done. The Brighton fans who sang abusive songs won’t have helped your cause though.

You can think whatever you like, yes. And equally I am able to point out what I think is hypocrisy. If you had a bad experience then report it. As to the last bit. It’s an internet message board. Someone disagreeing with you comes with the territory.

Nope, I’ve spent half this thread pointing out the hypocrisy of the same people complaining about the Leeds chant but not condemning the Brighton ones. You are talking about different policeman in different parts of the country and are now claiming that people in Brighton are being arrested for...

That’s whataboutery though, isn’t it. I know you love a good classroom analogy but it is very similar to a kid telling me others are talking when I tell them to stop. It’s a knee jerk response and I’m afraid doesn’t justify it and it still ends the same way.

Yep, same here. I just find the double standards on here incredible. Leeds fans are judged basis the behaviour of their dickheads but Brighton fans aren’t. There were so many idiots in our end making wanker signs and singing offensive songs but that’s not the story apparently.

    Brighton fans did exactly that.

Yep, fair enough :) I understand what you are saying. Some others don’t though.

And ‘you go down on your brother’ from the away end ? Is that just distasteful ? Try making some of those comments in the street today in a posh bit of Hove. See how you get on with the ‘it’s just distasteful’ defence. Look, my point is just calling out the hypocrisy of blaming the Leeds fans...

I thought you had lived in the north. You do know people don’t as a rule live in hovels up here ? Bloody hell, the snobbery of some people. One hell of a superiority complex you have there.

None. It’s kind of tough to take the moral high ground though when surrounded by Brighton fans making wanker gestures the whole time and singing about inbreds and about dirty northerners being paedophiles and committing incest. Those same Brighton fans then expect no repercussions and perhaps...

    [Albion] Homophobic Chanting

It’s about stereotyping. It’s kind of ironic for Brighton fans to be calling Northerners dirty etc for the actions of a minority in stereotyping Brighton fans. Makes it all a bit pointless.

There was also a Brighton fan taken out. What was that for ?

Yeah, I forgot about the Saville one….that as well.

    [Albion] Homophobic Chanting

What you heard on the radio was dependent upon where they placed the microphone. I was in the away end right next to their loudest support and heard it sung once in response to Albion fans singing ‘you’re going down with the Palace.’ Brighton fans also responded with ‘you’re going down on your...
