We've got rid of loads of old furniture and stuff as we've re-done rooms over the last few years simply by lobbing a picture on facebook marketplace with 'free if collected' on it. Absolutely every time it's gone the same day - beds, wardrobes, kitchen table, bookcase etc etc. Win/win - someone...
Possibly contributes - I quite regularly run on the downs directly past the camp (on the inner lane that leads to it then up the hill and cross-country on towards the Beacon) - there is rubbish everywhere. A lot of the stuff on the side of the 27 is fast food waste though lobbed out of car windows.
In my experience it's not predominantly trade - some, yes, but at least equal amounts of someones room renovation/new fridge/mattress/bedroom furniture etc
Yep……a lot of what I see on the lanes is definitely household stuff. Broken up furniture, mattresses, appliances, old toys, garden waste etc etc. Doubt investigation would be cost effective - suspect most of it contains no obvious trace of the offender.
