Pleased to see him today, thought he did some nice, clever stuff. It'll be hard finding any minutes for him this season but based on the little we saw today, he might not go out on loan next year, but bit early to contemplate about that. Bloke clearly has that AIK attitude - confidence, work...
  3. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

If Brighton are comfortably leading with some time to go, I imagine it is isnt impossible. Other than two friendlies with Sweden B in January, he has not played a game since the Swedish league ended in the beginning of November. He must be quite from anything even resembling match fitness.
  4. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

Went to England yesterday. Assume he will be confirmed today or maybe on Monday.
  5. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

Yeah I don't think that is unreasonable to believe. But also wouldn't be surprised if he stays with Brighton for the rest of the season to build himself up and perhaps play a bit with the U21s. Easy to forget that due to the Swedish spring-autumn schedule, he is currently in early pre-season...

From my understanding this is still very much happening, just awaiting decision on work permit and if he doesnt get one, a loan move.
  7. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

Suspected it might be him. He's actually not a manager anywhere right now, info on Wikipedia is outdated. And "Division 1" is actually the third division (Allsvenskan - Superettan - Division 1).
  8. Swansman

Seems very similar to before. Some players go on loan, some don't.
  9. Swansman

Yup £4m is good money. Their second biggest sale of all time I think, behind Alexander Isak to Dortmund.
  10. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

Well I compared them as players and they have the most comparable style of play. I disagree with your final sentence as well... Xavi could easily be described in a similar way. I'd be surprised if Ayari plays a single minute for Brighton this season. Maybe goes on loan, maybe stays to adapt...

Steven Alzate. Good technique, reads the game well, can play in multiple positions (though DMC/CM is probably his future as he doesn't have the pace to become a top class winger), not exactly spectacular but keeps the ball flowing.

"Disco Dan" is probably Swedish transfer journalist Daniel "Disco" Kristoffersson who is indeed very reliable. Edit: Indeed it was him. Done deal then I think. Around £4m it seems.

They're a bit rowdy, but of course no bottle tops... they do have some limits to their savagery.
  14. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

First training session of the season for his club yesterday: He isn't there though as he's currently with the Swedish national team on their January tour in Portugal where he started against FInland the other day. AIK CEO commented on the alleged Brighton interest yesterday: - I do not...
  15. Swansman

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

If they say they've heard it from multiple sources, then they have. That he is being scouted doesn't need to mean too much though. Good, talented player. Would compare him with Alzate in playing style. Like 99% of Swedish players moving abroad he's not yet good enough for the PL though and...

45 minutes maybe, need to take a powernap first.
