Yes. Ha Ha. But it would be nice to wrap this up and I'm assuming , given you've not refuted it , that you finally accept that Bloom and Barber speak daily, he's not a hands off chairman, he devised the loyalty scheme himself and is fully aware of the club's approach to sharing tickets...
Its 2 or 3 times a day according to Barber - its not speculation or what fans "imagine" - in an interview from last month - and i know they often car share over to Lancing . They talk all the time. So i'm not sure the point you're now making. Is he a hands off chairman or not ?
Nearly every home game this season has sold out so perplexed at what you say. Club say they lose money on sharing scheme - regardless of that - then easier ways to raise ££ - put up ticket prices for starters which have been flat for three seasons for most.
anyway this thread is about fair...
Well the published accounts for the two clubs prove that it’s hard to believe because er, it is. So can we stop the wind up of suggesting Parish - who is a brilliant administrator - has got one over on Barber. Whatever you think of the bloke. Palace could do with some stadium sponsorship, some...
ri
?? Albion had both higher commercial income, and broadcast revenue than Palace in 21/22 (although it was an odd Covid year). So not sure what you mean - Parish needs some more luck than he’s getting with that stadium expansion to keep up. (Ta to our resident Dullard for tables)
Its a perk , and i'm not sure - given everything else its very fair. So agreed. The optics also look bad. That said. 1901 still face sanctions if ticketholders misbehave and - however it looks - sharing tickets with others , for them, is not "abusing the system" as you described it.
Agreed . I think its an unhelpful inconsistency given the new scrutiny, sanctions that season ticket holders and others now face in using their tickets. (but given the licences/terms - club stuck with it. But it makes their life harder when justifying their approach)
1901 members can share tickets. Rightly or wrongly . They are allowed to do so as part of the perk of buying a 5 year premium season ticket - so they are allowed more flexibility.
However they can't "abuse the system" or bypass it. If they shared a ticket with someone who was ejected etc then...
Yes. Of course. So really its all about the sanction. There are extenuating circumstances, its a first offence, and agreed - your suggestion - ie: some inconvenience (for rest of season ? ) , a reset of the points but not preventing family from attending games is a smarter and fairer form of...
I don't know what the game is you're talking about here - Charlton (A) ? . Its sold out or about to be sold out. So fair enough that the club have prioritised it to fans who have attended before rather than general sale. But agreed its frustrating. As for Wolves example - and the 10 match / then...
Not denying that its cheap or that its difficult - especially at the moment to find both the time and the money. But There's plenty of ways you can start an Albion habit that already exist as well as the ability - which i know you strongly believe is something the club should relent on - to...
Why are young fans "victims" of the loyalty point system ? I could argue that (some) younger fans, with no families, more disposable income, free weekends have the freedom to have a season ticket and go to multiple away games earning points. Far harder , you could argue for parents, or other...
Attendance at football - at all levels - is historically high in the PL, the EFL and the National League. (and below that - see Worthing, Lewes, Eastbourne etc). Home and Away attendances at the Albion are also historically high and have been remarkably resilient to cost of living pressures. And...
this is true but in this specific case the Dad has tweeted he "knew the rules" and also said that the kids knew them too, hence altering the name on the ticket.
Given that Bloom, himself, designed the loyalty system and that Barber said that Bloom was involved here - and given this whole thing is about trying to fix the abuse of it, then what makes you think he isn't ? There's 250 people or so on Albion's books, this idea that one person is solely...
Yes. Outside of the London games and Bournemouth/Saints - I doubt that you're going to struggle getting tickets for - lets say the next 3 on sale - Everton (A), Boro (A) and Leicester (A) if you want them. Even if you're not a ST holder - et alone a Tier 1 points holder.
