With a fit and focused Trossard we have a stronger squad, but if his bridges have been burnt and he doesn’t want to contribute to the team directive he may as well foxtrot oscar. And we can only hope to bank as much as we can from his sale
I'm sure I read somewhere official that the club had taken the option.
However, and i'm presuming here, in order to stop him signing a pre-contract agreement with a club abroad it would have had to have been activated. Otherwise he would effectively free to go in the summer
That story is more about Chelsea, and losing last night than it is about Trossard - despite him being the headline.
