This bench warming thing is a distraction. His career will be harmed if he is bench warming at Brighton. His career will not be harmed if he is doing it at Arsenal - esp if they win the League. Simply by being at Arsenal makes him a more "credible player" and show career progression (I know, but...
For all the revisionism going on in this thread, he is a very decent Prem player. I'd rather everyone kissed and made up - he can still be a game changer for us.
The Times reporting that we have him permission to go home to Belgium this weekend.
Could be spin and not saying @jcdenton08 info is wrong. Just what is reported by Chris Hatherall.
Very little quality cover if Karou gets injured though. We're weaker with Trossard not in the squad obviously. And equally obviously, he doesn't want to be here.
Or that he had decided to move some time ago and that the WC was going to be his shop window. The interest didn't flood in, so he began to agitate for a move.
I don't see anything about the way our club operates to suggest a player who needed support wouldn't have got it.

Not that surprising that grumpy looking player who was part of a mass grump at the world cup (where some players refused to speak to Trossard I understand) acts like a grumpy child when he didn't get what he wants (encouraged by inept agent).
Whilst disappointing, none of this seems surprising.
I suspect he was hoping to shine at the world cup in a strong Belgian side and come back with reputation enhanced, and to a queue of suitors. I'll bet they are less enthusiastic now than they were and he's got a major hump.
And my point wasn't made to you really. You're a considered and informed poster I enjoy reading.
As you say, it was the point about no one winning. Then I kind of rambled on!!
I love the De Zerbi is taking no shit from players. Great teams thrive on clarity of leadership and consistency and we...
You say "win". Sadly, in these circumstances no one wins. Club still paying the player. Player not in the shop window. Squad taking extra strain of the missing option. Fans feeling rejected. It's a shitty but all too common scenario these days.
However, before we load hate onto Trossard's for...
