27 million is just a few million less than our side cost in transfer fees that gave Liverpool a complete hiding. Good business.
Time to roll another off the production line.
25 million feels about right. He is not automatic first pick anymore. It blows my mind that we can sell someone who is not auto first pick for that much.
Sad it ends this way. It has been obvious for a while that he was leaving. Very odd behaviour by his agent.
Let’s hope this has a similar impact to when abamyuang was made to train on his own then shifted on at arsenal when he wasn’t following the rules at arsenal about 12 months ago.
I am...
To add to the post about Trossard not being a nailed on starter. I would put the following in that category.
Sanchez
Pervis
Dunk
Caicedo
Alexis
Mitoma
March
Group below them who will almost certainly play if fit
Veltman
Gross
Then a group who will play depending on opposition or...
I think Newcastle is where he will end up. Either way it is absolutely nuts that we might lose someone like him to a far richer club above us in the league but he is no longer a nailed on starter for us. Ridiculous.
Fair enough. How likely are those things though? I can’t see tross would have to agree it isn’t an option to extend it is agreeing. Any wage increase would be tiny compared to added value. Plus he would already be in pre contract talks with overseas wouldn’t he? That would draw out any suitors.
It is amusing that sky sports are saying they need to explore whether Brighton have extended contract or not and imply link to price. Why on Earth would we not have extended to get more money?
