Probably the player most symbolic of the Potter era, which is probably why I am not really upset about this.
No doubt he has been great for us, and it's a real shame it ended like it did, but things are feeling fresh and new under RDZ and whilst I'm sure he could've thrived under him, it's...
Was it that different for Burn? He agitated for a move so hard, he ended up having to phone Paul Barber and ask him to get the deal done so he could leave ("Eventually, I thought, ‘Stuff this’, and called the Brighton chief exec (Paul Barber) and told him." - Dan Burn speaking to The Athletic)...
It may be best for all parties to meet in the middle for the next 2 weeks until a bid comes in. Brighton get a bit more money by showing the player hasn't become a useless asset to keep, and Trossard recovers his reputation a bit by resolving this nonsense.
Why on earth would a player deserve an explanation for not coming off the bench when named as a substitute? Especially when your side are 4-0 up - surely it's self-explanatory at that point?
All a little pathetic and a real shame to have an issue like this with Leo.
