Exactly this. In the Senate they voted to end the "emergency" that Trump claims gives him the ability to set tariffs with no input from congress. Mike Johnson, the speaker of the House won't allow anybody to bring a similar measure to the floor of the House, but that could change pretty quickly...

This is undoubtably because of the money he sank into the Wisconsin supreme court race only to be soundly defeated. He is electoral poison. He literally paid people for votes and still couldn't win.

It's a very, very low bar. But as shitty as Pence and Vance both are, I think they'd be better presidents that the orange one. If nothing else, they are capable of feeling pressure from voters and other people in government.

To be fair, it did occur today that Trump has managed something that I really don't think anybody else could have achieved. Making me nostalgic for his first term when he was just ridiculous and incompetent instead of dangerously deranged.
