I hope his downbeat expressions and interview were just to do with the fact that he wasn’t happy with the performance but I get the feeling it runs deeper than that
Ukranian and maybe one other in and Caicedo staying might bring back the ebullient RDZ we have had before.
I really doubt he had any clue about how many players we’d lose in such a short space of time and neither did TB I imagine. RDZ needs backing, that hasn’t happened yet
Hmm, hope you’re right but good managers are driven by the players at their disposal imo, rather than projects for the future, the current one is stumbling a little.
If Caicedo goes in this window and RDZ doesn’t get his ex player, I imagine he might start questioning if this is the right club for him, maybe.
Our last manager f***ed off when everything appeared to be in place for a great season, somewhat different to how we’d be if Caicedo goes, Mwepu is no...
I thought we opened them up by “fannying about” at the back quite a few times but we (Welbeck) fluffed yet more chances. Not a complaint, more frustration, as I think he brings so much to the team but feck me he does miss more than he should….imo. He is close every time but no cigar at the moment.
Nah you are negative 90% of the time, takes all sorts so carry on but maybe remember some of us are quite enthusiastic, if that makes us happy clappy, I can live with that, happy to give De Zerbi more than two games against top six sides to get his ideas across too.
Adam Webster's thoughts on the game -
“Roberto [De Zerbi] has got his own ideas, which he’s getting across well – but it’s going to take a bit of time,” said Webster.
“As a group, we’ve only had one full week to work with him, but you can see it’s coming together. There were some very nice...
You are forgetting that they ran us ragged in the Cup under Potter?
I really hope we are not going to go down the road of “Potter would have won that” every time we lose a game. Let’s not let the end of last season and the beginning of this one (where we also lost to an average Fulham side)...
In fairness he whinges whoever the manager is :lolol:
As I said before Sanchez achilles heel is his long clearances, mostly rubbish, always have been. His short passing, ball control and coolness is pretty good for a goal keeper normally. Unlike Pickford who is a hoof merchant.
Looks like he has found a budget to match his ambitions, expect Chelsea to be the media darlings in the not too distant future.
DeZerbi is going to take a while to change things to his style, I think we are going to have to suck up the comparisons with Potter in his last 6 months whilst...
