Quite, and Potter doesn't play with a rigid system either, he is more than capable of changing shape in to a 4-3-3, or adapting to how the opposition plays too.
A manager is only as good as his players though, and to be fair Bournemouth just don't have a strong enough squad to compete at this level, in the same way that his Fulham team didn't a couple of seasons previously.
I think Tony Bloom would pull the plug on any potential deal if he was aware of any other club(s) interest. In his eyes either a manager wants to come to us, or he doesn't.
We won't get involved in a tug or war with any third party.
Two reasons to counteract what you say could be:
Tony Bloom by definition is a very patient man, he will always be prepared to give any new incumbent time to put things right should he fail to achieve quick results, or if things don't go as well as expected, unlke the mad Greek Marinakis who...
Would Marinakis be as understanding as Tony Bloom though,if and when things started to go wrong or took time to gel on the pitch? I have my doubts.
There are lots of other things to consider, it isn'tjust about the size of the club, but future potential too.
Hmmm reading between the lines though, l don't know how many of those 20 odd players Cooper wanted, many of them allegedly were chosen by the chairman.
Ahhh that word bigger again, how do we measure it? size of the stadium? size of the trophy room? size of the fan base? size of the chairman's wallet? It all depends on how one defines the term.
But yes how do we prise him away if we want him? would Forest let us talk to him? does he even want...
Ryan Lowe at 20/1 anybody? not seen his name mentioned on here until now. Did a great job down at Plymouth until he was poached by Preston.
His teams play some exciting football, he seems to prefer managing up norf though.
