Your post (especially the last few words) have made me wonder whether he is actually quite a useful dupe for a savvy club owner like Tone. He made this a huge story and we got 55m. The two maybe unintentionally (on his part) related and he and his army of followers can be quite useful to our club.

He did manage to reel in the Blue Moon forum to the tune of 1200 pages of garbage though. Worthwhile for that alone.

What did you do in journalism out of interest ? Genuine question. I’m not really involved in this debate as I don’t do Twitter and only see these journos when linked on NSC.

The pretty major bit that he got wrong was his declaration of events he described as fact. Wasn’t the reality that what he was actually describing was the agent’s, player’s and cheapskate buyer’s (City) hopes ? Without that qualification to his reports they weren’t true hence the tweet put out...
